1994 marked the first annual All-Catalina Mac-Bay Get-Away. The dream of a few individuals became a reality when those present at the second annual All-Catalina Rendezvous, held at Macatawa Bay Yacht Club in July of 1995, adopted a Constitution and elected officers. For with that action the Lake Michigan Catalina Association came into existence.

The stated purpose of the organization is to promote the enjoyment of ownership, sailing, cruising and one-design racing for the owners of Catalina, Capri and Morgan sailing vessels. Activities of the association extend throughout the non-sailing season as well - events include: a Fall Wine Tour, Winter Rendezvous and Spring Fling Get-Together.
